Hi! We’re Allan & Katharina

But you can call us All & Kat! For over 5 years, we have been slow-traveling the world full-time as digital nomads, staying in 20+ countries and choosing local experiences over tourist hotspots.

Our mission is to inspire budget-friendly and off the beaten path adventures that leave a positive impact. That’s why you’ll find us in homestays or at a street food cart rather than a fancy rooftop bar. 🌮

On Nomads Beyond, we go beyond typical tourist spots – we dive deep into local life and seek meaningful travel experiences while working online and living intentionally.

Whether you’re looking for offbeat destinations, curated travel guides or practical tips on how to become a slow traveler or digital nomad too – this is your resource to make it happen!

What is Slow Travel?

Funny enough we started off as fast travelers – seeing as many places and sights as we could in a short amount of time. While this is exciting it’s also really draining for your body, mind and wallet.

When we started to adapt a slower pace we were able to truly immerse ourselves into the culture, nature, food and people around us. Which is so much more rewarding! 😌

Traveling slow also helps us to cut down costs immensely so we can travel full-time. That’s why we often stay weeks or months in one place and soak it all in.
